Welcome to the CUASA Website
The Carleton University Academic Staff Association is the certified trade union representing approximately 850 faculty, professional librarians and Instructor employees at Carleton University. The primary purposes of the Association are to promote the well-being of the academic commuity, to defend academic freedom and to promote the individual interests of its members, as well as to maintain the quality and integrity of the University as an academic institution.
In addition to being the certified bargaining agent for its members, the Association provides various other services designed to support you in all aspects of your working life from your first contract through to retirement. For more information, please feel free to explore the sections of this website or contact one of our staff for more information.
All faculty, professional librarians and Instructor employees working at Carleton must be in thebargaining unit and are required to pay dues. Joining the Association, the organization that oversees the union, is voluntary and free. We encourage all members of the union to become members of the Association. More information on membership is available on the join the Association page.
The Association offices are located on the 20th floor of Dunton Tower (building 21 on the campus map).
